Nuts & Code website for custom software and automation

Website FreshConnected Studio Active

Studio website for Nuts & Code, focused on custom software, apps, integrations, and automation for SMEs, with a Dutch and an English market variant managed from one environment.

What we delivered

A mix of strategy, design, and engineering that shortens the path from idea to working solution.

Project overview

Nuts & Code is a brand for custom software, apps, integrations, and automation for SMEs. The website makes the positioning clear quickly: practical software that fits how a business actually works, without unnecessary noise or inflated technical language.

The site is set up as a compact multilingual presence. The English .dev version acts as the master for the international technical positioning, while the Dutch .nl version stays closer to the local SME market in the Netherlands. Both variants are managed from a single Studio environment.

Collaboration

This project was developed internally by FreshConnected. That made it possible to shape the brand, positioning, copy, design, and technical foundation together. The website is not just a standalone landing page, but also a way to position the custom software offer more clearly alongside FreshConnected Studio and the wider FreshConnected service range.

The collaboration was mainly about focus: one brand, one clear promise, and a website that explains when custom software makes sense.

The problem behind the project

Custom software can quickly sound large, expensive, or complicated to business owners. Nuts & Code is meant to show that software development can also be straightforward, practical, and step-by-step. The website therefore had to feel technical enough to build trust, while staying accessible to entrepreneurs who mainly want to improve a process.

The main question was: how do you present custom software without making the visitor work through jargon first?

What was delivered

  • A compact multilingual website for Nuts & Code
  • A distinct visual identity with clear typography, code elements, and a recognisable nut motif
  • Clear positioning around custom software, apps, integrations, and automation
  • A contact route that invites visitors to explain their process or software question in plain language

Technical implementation

  • Built on the FreshConnected Studio foundation with Astro and Kirby CMS
  • Content structure set up for Dutch and English market variants
  • Visual composition built around a code frame, clear sections, service cards, and portfolio references
  • Focused on fast loading, manageable content, and a solid base for later landing pages

Challenges

  • Explaining a technical offer simply without flattening the substance
  • Creating a separate brand that relates to FreshConnected, but clearly has its own character
  • Keeping the website compact while giving services, process, and cases enough context
  • Supporting two language variants without making the content generic

Result

The website is live. Nuts & Code now has its own recognisable place as a practical software partner for SMEs. Visitors can quickly understand which types of software questions fit and get a clear path toward a first conversation.

That gives custom software a separate home within the broader FreshConnected offer, without forcing the main website to explain everything at once. The content stays manageable from Studio, so new cases and landing pages can be added without development work.

Reflection

This case shows how a new brand can gain its own character while still using the same technical foundation. By designing brand, copy, and component choices together, Nuts & Code does not feel like a template variant. It becomes a focused proposition for businesses that need software that better fits their day-to-day work.
